I hope there is some chance of the Neighborhood being made available on demand or on DVD, but it will be strange for it not to be a presence on television. Listening to interviews with Fred, he never quite seems to say that he expects the show to run for very long without him. He mentions the possibility of the characters living on beyond his lifetime and his work going on, but I get the impression he means new material, not his reruns persay. An interesting thought. The selfish part of me wants the same old episodes over and over again, but I think even kids notice when something looks old fashioned (in color schemes and hairstyles) and perhaps that puts them off the old episodes a bit.
